Keisuke (Keis) Ide
Keisuke (Keis) Ide is a partner at UTEC, a VC fund associated with the University of Tokyo. He focuses on venture investments in innovative technologies to create new demands, as well as IT-enabled solutions to solve old problems.
He started his career in Silicon Valley as an engineer at KLA-Tencor Corp. in San Jose. He then joined The McKenna Group led by Regis McKenna as a consultant in technology marketing. After spending 15 years in the US, he joined and served as a director in a startup company in Tokyo designing ASICs. He then joined Globis Capital Partners as a venture capitalist. His past investments include DMP (TSE 3652), Phyzios (MA by Google Inc.),and IID(TSE 6038).
He has a BS Tau Beta Pi in Systems Engineering from University of Virginia, and MS Honors in Management Science and Engineering (formerly of Engineering Economic Systems) from Stanford University. He serves as a board director for Japan Stanford Association and for a few of his portfolio companies.
