Mr. Cheng is the co-founder and General Partner of Acorn Pacific Ventures. Before it, he co-founded Harbinger Venture, a Pan-Pacific venture capital firm, in 2000.
 

Since Harbinger’s inception, Mr. Cheng has made investment in over 30 companies in US, China and Taiwan, ranging from computing technologies, networking products, semiconductors, software, services, and biotechnologies.

Mr. Cheng was the Chairman of Monte Jade Science and Technology Association in Bay Area in 2007. He is currently a columnist of Common Wealth magazine. His essays had been collected in two book published in 2012 and 2016.

Mr. Cheng received his M.S. from National Chiao-Tung University, Taiwan, and B.S. in Physics from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan.
