Arianna is a navigation system designed to guide visually impaired people in public spaces and increase their autonomy and independence. Arianna can be used in any indoor environment (airports, museums, hospitals, shopping
malls, etc.) and outdoors (stations, sidewalks, etc.). Through the smartphone, Arianna provides high precision localization services to any person (including non-visually impaired) and can be used to provide innovative location-based services (audioguides, augmented reality, target advertisement...). The main idea is substituting the expensive tactile pavements today in use with low-cost, flexible and easily deployable lines, painted or stuck to the ground.
