Prior to establishing in 2019 Cadenza Advisors, a governance and financial advisory firm, Linda Csellak managed Asian and global funds in Asia and the US for thirty-five years and has lived in Asia for the past twenty-five years. Linda was most recently a Managing Director and Head of Asian Equities at Manulife Asset Management for nine years. She managed Asian regional small cap equity funds for institutional and retail clients at the firm, meeting with thousands of companies for possible investment.
Concentrating on rapidly growing companies particularly in the technology and healthcare sectors in Taiwan, Korea and Australia, Linda actively promoted an improved corporate governance framework, more effective capital allocation as well as growth-enhancing international expansion where warranted. Many of these companies received increased foreign investment interest through greater attention to minority investor interests and a clear articulation of their business model and strategy. These companies substantially outperformed the broader market leading to industry performance awards for the investment funds.
Previous to Manulife, Linda managed Asia Pacific including Japan equity funds as well as Japan only funds for two absolute return funds in Hong Kong. She also served as Director, Head of Research and Head of Sector Research for Credit Agricole Asset Management where she managed outperforming Asian, Japanese, as well as global equity funds. Earlier, Linda managed American and Latin American high yield corporate bonds for two institutions in the United States.
Linda has been a board member of the Asian Corporate Governance Association and the Hong Kong Society of Financial Analysts Limited as is active in mentoring for non-governmental organizations and researching angel companies.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, USA. She is a CFA charter holder.
