Jamie C. Yang specializes in antitrust, IP laws and cross-border dispute resolution.
 
Jamie has extensive experience in both litigious and transactional dimensions of Taiwan antitrust and competition laws and she appears regularly before the Taiwan Fair Trade Commision (TFTC). Her practice includes international cartel defense, cartel control filing, merger control filing and representing interested parties in opposition of a merger control filing, working closely with counsels in the United States, E.U., China, Japan, Korea and Israel. She has represented listed company clients in many high profile merger control filings and obtained clearance. In addition, Jamie has successfully assisted clients in voicing their anticompetitive concerns of mergers filings by competitors, resulting in the competitors' withdrawal of such merger filings. On cartel defense work, she has conducted corporate internal investigations for clients and helped them benefit from the TFTC's leniency program. Moreover, she has successfully defended clients charged with market dominance abuse, resulting in a favorable ruling by the TFTC. Jamie also conducts Fair Trade Act related compliance review and training for local and foreign clients.
 
Jamie began her legal career practicing IP law. She acquired solid training in the IP laws from the Institute of Law for Science and Technology, National Tsinghua University. She created form copyright  license  templates  for  the National  Digital Archives  and coordinated copyright clearance for thousands of artistic works. She has much experience  in patent  portfolio planning and licensing from her tenure at  the  National  Tsinghua  University Technology  Transfer  Office and has served many technology  companies based in the Hsinchu Science  Park. Experienced in both IP and antitrust law practices, Jamie often devise defense and offense strategies leveraging both areas of laws. Jamie has experience in cross-border dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration  and  mediation.  She  has represented parties in the U.S., Germany, Austria and Cambodia, corporate and individual, in civil and criminal litigation before the Taiwan Courts.
 
Jamie was a senior associate at LCS & Partners prior to joining Innovatus Law. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
